Who I am
Love Life More is run by me, Tanya Gordon, a sole trader. I am the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, which means I decide how and why it is used. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration reference ZB693846.
The website address is https://lovelifemore.uk. This policy covers the website, including the blog and Love Life Favourites pages, the email sign-up form, the reiki booking calendar and the reiki intake form.

What I collect and why

I only collect what I need for these purposes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in every email, and I will stop straight away.
Health information from the reiki intake form
The intake form asks about injuries, allergies, other therapies and certain medical conditions. This is health information, which the law treats as special category data and protects more strictly.
I only ask for it so I can treat you safely. I rely on your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent boxes on the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing me, and I will delete your form unless I am legally required to keep it.
I use it only to decide whether and how to treat you, and to keep a record of your sessions. I do not use it for marketing, and I do not share it with anyone other than the service providers listed below, who store it on my behalf. Access to the form responses is limited to me and protected by a login.
Reiki is a complementary therapy and does not replace medical care. If your answers suggest a session may not be suitable, I may contact you before your appointment to talk it through.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically. You can ask me to remove your comment at any time by emailing hello@lovelifemore.uk.
Cookies, fonts and embedded content
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies of its own. It only uses cookies that are needed for the site and its forms to work, such as security and form-handling cookies, which do not need your consent.
If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies, so that you do not have to fill in your details again next time. These cookies last for one year.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser loads them, Google may receive information such as your IP address.
Some pages may include embedded content from other websites, such as videos or social posts. Embedded content behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.
Affiliate links
Some pages on Love Life Favourites contain affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Once you click through, the affiliate partner’s own cookies and privacy policy apply. Amazon may record that you arrived from my site before buying, and its use of that information is covered by Amazon’s own privacy notice.

Who I share your information with
I do not sell your information. I use a small number of service providers who handle it on my behalf:
- HighLevel (GoHighLevel): hosts my booking calendar, forms, email and text messaging, and stores the contact records and form responses. It stores data on Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, and encrypts it in transit and at rest.
- Stablepoint: hosts lovelifemore.uk.
- Google: provides Search Console, which shows me which searches lead people to the site, and Google Fonts, which supplies the fonts used on the site.
- Spam detection and Gravatar: comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service, and Gravatar may receive an anonymised version of your email address, as described above.
HighLevel is based in the United States and says it may also use affiliates or providers in other countries, including India. It states that it takes part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, which is designed to protect UK personal information sent to certified US organisations. My agreement with HighLevel also includes the standard contractual clauses approved for UK transfers.
How long I keep your information
I keep your booking and contact details for as long as you are a client or subscriber. I keep intake forms for 7 years after your last session, then delete them. Email subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Comments are kept as described above.
Your rights and how to complain
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the information I hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information
- restrict or stop how I use it
- send it to you in a portable format
You can also withdraw consent at any time. Email me and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would welcome the chance to put things right first, so please contact me.
I will update this policy if how I use information changes, and the date at the top will show when it was last reviewed.
